The calibration of JETI products is valid for one year. After this time it will not be guaranteed that the measuring results of the spectroscopy instrument are still within the indicated uncertainty. Therefore, it is recommended to return them regularly for recalibration and additional device service.
If a valid calibration certificate is not required or if the device is used under constantly the same pleasant environmental conditions without frequent changes of the measurement setup, the period until the next recalibration can also be two or three years.

JETI offer the following service for all its products (also for older devices which are out of production): 

Spectroradiometer (specbos 25x1, 12x1, spectraval 15x1)

• Incoming inspection of the device
• First measuring test
• Mechanical and optical alignment test, if necessary readjustment
• Firm- and software updates (USB-stick will be replaced)
• For models with built-in battery: Check the performance of the battery. If the performance of the battery no longer meets the requirements, it will be replaced.

To make customs clearance as smooth and simple as possible, we ask you to follow our shipping instructions (please see below) before sending the device.

Device check up for older models

For older models (production date before 2010) a check up is necessary to ensure a recalibration can be done successfully.

The device check up includes the fit and calibration status. It means, we check during several measurements wheater the device is still within the measuring uncertainty and the wavelength accuracy by comparison of the values with the reference values. The device check up will not be invoiced if the recalibration is performed afterwards. Please contact us before sending in the device.

Check up for devices without service within the last 5 years

For devices whose last device maintenance or recalibration was at least 5 years ago, we charge for the increased effort to check the functional status of the device and whether all necessary updates (software, firmware) can be successfully installed.
